About us

A women-led organisation, rooted in its own community

AMMA Foundation works with women and children in Belagavi District, Karnataka, across the talukas of Raibag, Chikkodi, Gokak, Mudalgi, Nippani, Hukkeri.

Who we are

Established in 2015 by seven founding partners

AMMA Foundation Raibag is a nonprofit organization established in 2015 at Belgaum, Karnataka by the seven partners having the same mindset who came together to uplift women and children who are facing injustice in the society. They founded the organization with the dream of making women and children live with respect and dignity in this society.

Women and children are being exploited by the male dominated system in the society without giving equality and respect to women and children. With the aim of weakening women's power, women are pushed into the Devadasi system, child marriage and trafficking, and most importantly deprived of education and looked down upon by this society.

The organization was established in 2015 with the aim of providing education, health, protection, equality, freedom, justice and financial support to women and children and building an ideal society where women and children live with dignity and respect.

To accomplish our organization's objectives, we are actively working across 95 villages in the Raibag, Chikkodi, Gokak, Mudalgi, Nippani and Hukkeri talukas of Belgaum district. Our efforts reach 9392 families and 13011 children (Male 5874, Female 7137), focusing on eliminating inhumane practices such as the Devadasi system, child marriage, trafficking of women and children, and child labor, while also promoting higher education.

We re-enroll children who have dropped out of school, teach life skills through child participation, and ensure children's health and well-being. Our goals are being met through a variety of such initiatives.
